Assalamualaikum w.b.t.

It's been awhile since I have done unboxing, right? Actually this album arrived home when I was in Indonesia, and yes my mother was the one fetching it from abang PosLaju hahaha. Talk about ~awkward~
Luckily my mom does not mind that much haha.

Back when DAY6 did Shoot Me comeback, I contacted sis Allia via DAY6Malaysia to pre-order this album. It is my first time contacting her though, and she is very cool and nice. I ordered the unsealed one, hahaha I don't know why, I am not that picky in getting whoever photocards, but well, I just did it. Alang-alang, select bias terus la. And I did not regret it muhahhahaha, I get two of my bias once again ><

Big thanks to sis Allia for her hardwork! And sorry it takes a lot of time to reveal this unboxing hahaha me being the laziest bum ever.

So, let's get into it.

Album Sampler / Tracklist:

Okay, what I gotta say about their song is... it is quite different than the one that they used to produce before. If the titles in Moonrise album are mostly like, soft rock, in this album, they go to the real rock, hahaha I don't know how to explain, I don't have enough musical knowledge yet (I'm still learning tho!) It's the kind of vibe you can get from "I Wait" and "How Can I Say".

And they still hold the reputation of having no bad songs at all in their album. Well done, DAY6. Well done (claps claps)

Out of all the great songs which are steadily climbing my favourite lists, the songs that I immediately fall in love from the first time hearing it is Talking To and Somehow.

how it looks like after opening the bubble wraps

the pop-up stand

I'm experimenting the stands but it's not very stable so...

here is how the stand literally looked like

now let's get to the CD ^^

tracklist in the back

now we're getting at the little stuffs they had

this sticker reminds me of my childhood lellll

now we're getting at the photocards ^^ guess who did I get?

It's no longer a surprise aight? It's Young K and Jae 😁

the back of the photocards. The hangul one written on Young K's literally meant "My Days, be happy today" it's literally the same with the one under it anyway

now moving to the clear card

it's so tiny

it's like the one in Moonrise but the different is we get all of the members there but only a member here

here are how tiny it is XD

now the photobook ^^

front cover

I will skip some of the pages though, please bear with me

lyrics

the back cover

Maybe next time if I ever bought their album, I will consider opting the unsealed one pulak hehe. Baru ada surprise.

So, that's all for my unboxing entry. Toodles!

Movie title: The Nun

Year / Genre / Language: 2018 / Horror / English

Synopsis:

When a young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania takes her own life, a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate. Together, they uncover the order's unholy secret. Risking not only their lives but their faith and their very souls, they confront a malevolent force in the form of a demonic nun.

Thoughts:

4 / 5

This is the third movie that I watched from The Conjuring universe, yes. Aside from The Conjuring 1 & 2, I haven't watch Annabelle 1 & 2 yet, so that's why.

As a horror movies enthusiast (despite being the biggest coward ever), this movie is not really bad. Although the storyline is quite cliche (haunted buildings with a dark past, etc) I see that they are focusing more on the demon's merciless attack and its overall appearance.

Well, talk about the demon appearance, or Valak to be specific, well, he (I consider Valak as a HE although he dressed like a nun) is terrifying, yes he is. He is 'something' you REALLY don't want to come across in ANY circumstances, I assure you. I haven't gotten over the attack he did in The Conjuring 2, and as a person with a wild imagination, I can't help but always pictured him standing at the end of the hallway of my dorm everytime I return to my room.

Sister Irene were still under her novice period (kinda like a training period or something?) but it was a brave move to accept the invitation of Father Burke to solve the mystery of Sister Victoria's suicide and the monastery overall. Frenchie, on the other hand, seemed to have an interest on Sister Irene but you know that nuns are forbidden to have any romantic relationship, so yes, they won't end up together.

I feel bad for Father Burke because the demon really took Father Burke's weakness for granted.

This story also explains why the demon took the form of a nun. At least my question was answered as I kept thinking why Valak has something to do with the nun?

The atmosphere of the story is good, the gothic-horror vibes are really there. And it literally feels like we were really trapped in the monastery together with them. And another thing is, you don't even know if they are real humans or not. Gosh. I hate the feeling.

But I like to comment on the storyline. It felt somewhat lacking. Although the dark incidents in the past are shown in the movie, I wish I could see more of it, a more solid backstory. So far this movie only provides us jumpscares and scary encounterance, but not the deeper, meaningful impact that are memorable aside from the demon's attack.

However, I like how the ending of this movie correlates with The Conjuring, so we can see the relation between this movie and The Warren.

As I am already getting used to see Valak's terrifying face (to the point I don't close my eyes anymore when he appears on the screen), I did consider of rewatching this movie again.

Assalamualaikum w.b.t.

Like I promised, I would like to share my experience going abroad for a month. This entry will be a little bit boring because I just don't know how to spice things up.

Jika ada anak-anak UNSRI terbaca ini, maafin aku ya karna jarang sekali ngobrol sama kalian. Aku ini pemalu sejak lahir wkwkwk

Here is part 1, mainly about preparation pergi ke sana.

Arrival;

They don't hesitate to strike up a conversation with us first walaupun kami ni berbeza negara gitu. I admire their efforts of making us feel comfortable there.

Wisma;

Kami tinggal di wisma selama satu bulan duduk kat sana. Wisma tu macam rumah penginapan, lokasi dia dekat luar universiti, and kami agak bertuah sikit la sebab tempat tinggal kami tu agak selesa. So, no issues regarding self-privacy. Memang terbaik lah 👍👍👍

Transportation and campuses;

Our main transportation is bus.

UNSRI ada dua kampus, satu dekat Inderalaya, satu dekat Palembang (which we were attending). The main campus is the Inderalaya campus, so kalau ada certain hari kami kena pergi Inderalaya, macam bila ada kelas dekat sana and bila ada acara formal macam opening ceremony dan closing ceremony, kami kena pergi ke Inderalaya. So, nak bagi senang paham;

Kelas biasa dekat kampus Palembang >> 5-10 minit naik bas

Classes;

So far okay la, kelas tak packed pun. Pagi-pagi macam biasa, bangun, naik bas, pergi kelas. Pukul 11 sampai 1 tu break, waktu break tu free la nak pergi makan ke solat ke. Beza waktu ID dengan MY is 1 jam, contoh macam kalau kita pukul 2 diorang baru pukul 1. Kelas betul-betul habis pukul 3 or 3.30. Awalnyeeee.

Classmates pun alhamdulillah okay.

Eh bajet lecturer gitu.

Oh lupa. Final exam kami presentation. Tak ada exam bertulis.

classmates Game Programming.

classmates Professional Ethics.

Jalan-jalan;

Hari-hari yang tak ada kelas ialah Jumaat, Sabtu dengan Ahad, so itu memang free time untuk kami lah. Memandangkan Palembang ni ala-ala Melaka, so tourist attraction dia banyak la yang berkaitan dengan sejarah. So lawatan sejarah (under fakulti) tu banyak la.

Mall dekat sana pun macam dekat Malaysia, besar cantik, so jangan sesat ya.

Siap ada roller coaster hahahaha. Image credit to Muhtasim.

Jembatan Ampera ni macam trademark Palembang. Kan kalau siapa-siapa mention Melaka, mesti benda first yang kita fikir A Famosa. Kalau siapa-siapa mention Teluk Intan, mesti benda first yang kita fikir Menara Condong. Sama la Palembang, bila siapa-siapa mention Palembang, benda first yang kita kena fikir ialah Jembatan Ampera. Kenapa Jembatan Ampera? Sebab dia ada nilai sejarah.

glowing dia waktu malam.

Pagoda dekat Pulau Kemaro.

Dekat Trampoline tapi tak main pun.

Banyak je lagi gambar tapi mostly aku dah share dekat ig.

Student-student UTM join kami after 2 weeks. Diorang dari Pagar Alam. So, kami dari 13 orang dah jadi 26 orang.

Senior-senior tahun lepas pun cakap memang benda normal kalau sakit/demam/muntah kalau datang tempat baru sebab our body is not used to it.

Jadi jangan lupa bawak ubat eh. Sebab most of us sakit, tak semua, yang mana yang tak sakit tu memang dikira lucky la. Itulah asam garam bila keluar ke tempat baru. Alhamdulillah aku cepat baik.

And I want to thank the LOs since diorang pun baik hati jaga aku waktu sakit. They give me foods, etc. Rasa dihargai sangat-sangat.

Last week;

Minggu last ialah minggu yang aku tak boleh lupa sebab, yelah, we realized this is the last chance we had there. There was a lot of memories we created together, we went from places to places and another places together, sambut birthday la, singgah rumah jumpa mak ayah diorang la and so on. I don't know how to describe, it was a miracle we got to be that close to each other for a period of a month.

Aku ingat lagi waktu aku tak boleh masuk bilik. First, sebab kunci bilik tak ada kat aku and second, roommate aku tak balik wisma lagi. So, aku pun ikut akak-akak lain lepak depan bilik LO. Hampar tikar macam picnic depan bilik tu hahahah. Lepas tu main UNO, ya Allah. Memang bising depan bilik tu. Tapi itulah, best sebab aku rasa itulah masanya aku betul-betul, properly, interact dengan diorang.

Yang aku tak boleh lupa ialah the last day. Lepas puas shopping souvenir dekat Ramayana, after Asar aku ikut kak syi dengan kak ecah cari makanan macam keropok-keropok macam tu dengan Maman. Jenuh la kami berjalan, waktu tu rasa best sebab we are freely roaming the street, kami jalan kaki, lalu depan Kantor Wali Kota (sempat tangkap gambar lagi), pergi ke BKB sebab nak cari souvenir lagi. Aku ingat lagi conversation dengan kak ecah "Macam tak percaya lagi 24-jam lagi ni kita semua dah dekat rumah," padahal right at that time we were literally still walking on Palembang's land. Rasa macam, wow, beza sangat situasi 5.30pm sekarang dengan 5.30pm esok.

Oh, lagi satu. Abang Chatime. HAHAHAHAHAHA. Aduhai 😂 What happens in Palembang, stays in Palembang jelah.

Punya lah sakan cari souvenir sampai malam. Tak silap aku hari tu ada acara opening Asian Games 2018 tapi kami tak sempat tengok dek sibuk cari souvenir. Waktu makan malam, kak syi ada tegur kata aku ni banyak cakap semacam malam tu. Bukan apa, aku fikir dah alang-alang berapa jam lagi je aku nak tinggal di sini, better la aku opened myself up. It was our last moment and my last chance.

So, aku tak nak cerita la how our departure went. Memang, full of tears.

Okay, setakat tu je kot aku share. Program ni memang satu pengalaman yang baru buat aku, memang ramai yang pelik kenapa aku join memandangkan tak ada kawan-kawan first year yang betul-betul rapat dengan aku tapi alhamdulillah, aku dah buat kawan baru, biarpun dari UKM mahupun Indonesia. Rasa macam kau dah accomplished satu benda yang bermakna walaupun bagi orang lain nampak macam remeh.

Till then.

best wishes, ♡
